The Ultimate Adventure Centre is a multi-activity adventure centre providing high calibre adventures for Schools, Adult Groups & Tourists alike. We aim to create high quality adventure experiences that are rewarding and further strengthens our reputation, ensuring all Adventurers leave wanting to return again.

The centre has experienced substantial growth over the last few years and so we require additional staff to join our Team. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have an interest in the outdoors. You will need to be adaptable; no two days are the same, we provide a large range of activities, for a wide spread of customer groups of all different ages.

Outdoor Instructor / Assistant Instructor – Summer 2017
We are looking for experienced and appropriately qualified instructors to join our team in Spring 2017.

Candidates will ideally need to have at least one seasons experience within the industry, be passionate about outdoor learning, have pride in their work, be customer focused and can work well within a dynamic team. It is preferred that you any of the following qualifications, however extensive on-site and NGB training will be provided;

• BCU Level 2/ Level 1 Coach, or above
• SPA Training/Assessment
• CWA Training / Assessment
• Lowland Leader Award – LLA
• Beach Lifeguard
• Surfing GB Level 1 Coach, or above
• First Aid at Work

Access to own transport will be necessary due to our location.

Age: Applicants must be over 18.

Salary: Will be dependent on Experience and age.

 

Change-over Cleaners Required
We are currently looking for Change-over Cleaners to join our team for the forthcoming busy season working on Friday mid-morning to afternoons and Monday mornings. Plus cleaning duties through the summer. We’re looking for friendly people to join our friendly team. Experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided. Own transport required.

 

Part Time Seasonal Office / Booking Assistant
The Role: We are looking for a happy, positive and hard working person to join our team. Experience in the tourism & outdoor industries or relevant customer facing office environment is preferred.

The right person must be bubbly, confident, not afraid to take charge and organise groups of people. Have an eye for detail and the ability to learn fast. Must have good communication skills over the phone, email and customer facing. Be proficient in all Microsoft Office Packages and the Internet.

Duties will include:

• Taking bookings via the phone, online and walk-ins.
• General office duties.
• Dealing with check in/check out of activities and our on-site Accommodation
• Willing to help with all on-site duties to ensure the smooth running of all bookings

Training will be provided in the use of company software packages, availability to attend our staff activity training will be desirable to ensure good working knowledge of all activities on and off site.

Working Hours: 3-4 days a week, including weekend cover. Plus additional time during school holidays, and some weekdays during term time. Flexibility to work these additional hours is required, to cover busier times of the business’ calendar, staff absences and event bookings.

Access to their own transport will be necessary due to our location.

Age: Applicants must be over school leaving age (16) due to child employment legislation.

Part Time Seasonal Assistant Cook
The Café is open 7 days a week from 8am to 7pm, serving delicious hot and cold food and drinks to school groups, adult groups and day trip tourists.

The Role: We are looking for a happy, positive and hard working person to join our team, with good interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus. Happy to work front of house and cover all Kitchen duties as required. We are looking for applicants who excel at team working and can independently manage the tasks of the day. Previous catering experience is preferred, training will be given in all aspects of the role, including food preparation and food hygiene.

Duties will include:

• Preparing and cooking food in a busy cafe kitchen
• Managing multiple kitchen orders e.g pre-booked & walk in orders.
• Handling till transactions and the serving of meals ensuring correct portion control
• General kitchen/cafe duties
• Daily cleaning procedures and regular deep cleaning
• Waste management
• Ensuring food hygiene and Health and Safety regulations are adhered at all times
• Willing to help with all on-site duties to ensure the smooth running of all bookings.

Night Porter
We are currently looking for a Night Porter to join our team for the forthcoming busy season working initially on Friday and Saturday nights and then nightly throughout the summer. Duties will include managing a busy accommodation and camping site throughout the night, ensuring behaviour is managed. We’re looking for friendly people to join our friendly team. Experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
